Twitter offers you the opportunity to get away from email newsletters, email news broadcasts and business updates.

Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co-workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick and simple notes - called Tweets.
There are two sides to Twitter. One is using it to get information and the other is using it to provide information.

To Start Getting Information
If you have a twitter account, login.
If you do not have a Twitter account, open one at Twitter.
You should already be logged in after you register, however if you are not, click on the "Sign In" link and sign in with the username and password you just created. You should now be at YOUR twitter page.
You can find people to follow one of three ways.
You can invite your friends to join twitter, which is a good way to keep in touch with everybody,
or
you can click the link "public timeline". A list of active twitters will be displayed. Click on their username and then click the "Follow" button of the users you want to follow.
or
you can click on someones follow me button and go to Twitter to start following them.

It is very simple. All that you have to do is to log into your twitter account and you see all the things you are following.
