About My Firm

Because I will be providing you personal services through my firm, I think that you would like to know a little about me, my country and my background.

My name is Katarzyna. My last name is probably too difficult for you to pronounce. Most English speaking people just call me "Kate". The picture shows me with the Polish National Symbol, the White Eagle.

My country has a lot to offer to you. There are many products that you can sell here and we have many fine, unique products that you can sell in your country. I can help you benefit from these opportunities and do business with companies in my country.

I am very adept at the use of the internet for commercial activities. I was the startup manager of a company that was the second private internet company in Poland. I built a staff of over 50 people and we built the first dual language business portal in Poland. While so many other business portals have failed, that one continues to operate profitably. I still do consulting work for that company and help maintain their web site. You can see it at Master Page

I have experience in Poland that very few people have. Managing a dual language web site has taught me what is necessary for a foreign company to do business with Poland. If you follow some simple rules, you can be very successful here.

When I started using the internet in 1994 there were less than 25,000 people in Poland that used the internet. Most of them were college students, professors and scientists. Now there are millions. But please don't let these numbers mislead you.

There are hundreds of thousands of very good small and medium sized companies that just don't have the internet. They use the telephone, mail and fax. If you use only the internet to try to contact new customers in Poland you will miss these customers.

And still today, for those companies that do have internet access, most of the decision makers do not use the internet. Young technicians generally do all internet related work. And they cannot always be relied upon to pass your messages to the decision makers. So if you rely on the internet only, you will miss most of the important people.

And then not all Polish companies use the internet effectively because they do not employ English speaking people. So you must use special techniques to reach these people.
